My 11th grade English teacher gave me The Complete Short Stories. After reading it cover to cover, I realized that Hemingway was the best American author that has ever lived. The best of the stories, I believe, is A Clean, Well Lighted Place. I understood the older waiter right away. Another great one that’s taught in many high school English classes in The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber. I could go on and on, but pick it up and read a few. Hemingway’s the best.
